A Statement on the Passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

It is difficult to write a piece on the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as she was a champion for so many,

I had the honor to be admitted into the United Supreme Court Bar on April 1, 2019. After I was admitted, a group of SIU Law alumni and I returned to our reserved room in the Supreme Court Courthouse.

And then the Notorious RBG walked in. I was speechless. I still cannot believe that this moment happened and that I met Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

I truly enjoyed reading the statements that the current justices wrote about the death of Justice Ginsburg.

If you are unfamiliar with her work, I highly recommened watching RBG. Everytime I watch it, I feel so empowered to fight for justice for those who are discriminated against.

Her journey is documented through On The Basis of Sex which is another beautiful film.

There are many books to read to learn more about Justice Ginsburg. Newsweek Article on books on Justice Ginsburg
